Vaccination Schedules

The following schedule is correct as at Autumn 2017. Further phased changes will take place after this date and catch up programmes for young adults will be offered for limited durations.  Please note we are unable to vaccinate your child or young adult outside of the national vaccination programme.


At two months old:
  • Diptheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), polio, Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib), Hepatitis B (DTaP/IPV/Hib/Hep B) - one injection
  • Pneumococcal infection - pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV) - one injection
  • Rotavirus  - Oral
  • Meningococcal Group B (Men B) - one injection


At three months old:

  • Diptheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), polio, Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib), Hepatitis B (DTaP/IPV/Hib/Hep B) - one injection
  • Rotavirus  - Oral (to be given 4 weeks after 1st dose)

At four months old:

  • Diptheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), polio, Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib), Hepatitis B (DTaP/IPV/Hib/Hep B) - one injection
  • Pneumococcal infection - pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV) - one injection
  • Meningococcal Group B (Men B) - one injection


Between 12 and 13 months - usually within a month of first birthday

  • Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) and meningitis C (Hib/MenC) - booster dose in one injection
  • Measles, mumps and rubella (German measles) (MMR) - one injection
  • Pneumococcal infection - pneumococcal conjugate vaccine (PCV) - one injection 
  • Meningococcal Group B (Men B) - one injection

Two to six years (Including children in school years 1 and 2 )

  • Flu vaccine - nasal spray


Three years four months to five years old (pre-school):

  • Diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough) and polio (dTaP/IPV or DTaP/IPV) - one injection
  • Measles, mumps and rubella (German measles) (MMR) - one injection

Girls aged 12-13 years

  • HPV Vaccine - Gardisil  2 doses (6 - 12 months apart)


14 years old (school year 9)

  • Meningitis groups ACWY (MenACWY) - one injection 
  • Diphtheria, tetanus and polio (Td/IPV) - one injection
