New Practice Computer system
We will be changing our computer system on April 26, and there will be a short changeover period when there will be some delays in receiving hospital reports and processing repeat prescriptions. To help make this transition as smooth as possible, patients are asked to:
● Order repeat prescriptions in plenty of time ahead of the changeover (the practice will relax the rules about ordering early for this purpose)
●Not contact the surgery for routine blood test results between 25th April to 9th May if it can be avoided. The practice will continue to contact you if your results are urgent and you need to be seen.
●Be patient with staff during and after the changeover whilst they learn the new system
The practice will need to suspend automated and online appointment booking and online prescription ordering from the 1st April as systems are cleared down ready for the changeover.
We are pleased to announce Online Services at Green Street Clinic.
You may also have heard in the media recently that there are plans to give patients greater access to their medical records online and as part of this future plan we are amalgamating several services under one registration and once registered you will be able to:
1. Submit your prescriptions online
2. Make your doctors appointments online
3. Access your health record once that service becomes available in the future.
In order to offer this service we are required to put security measures in place to ensure no-one can access your health information but you. Because of this we will need all patients to register with a unique email address. All patients will need to register for online services in their own name, with their own email address and will then be given a print-out from reception which will contain a password and instructions of how to register. Once registered you will be able to choose a more memorable password for yourself.
A registration form for completion ahead of your next visit to the surgery can be downloaded here: Vision_Online_Services_Patient_Registration_Form.doc Please note there is a further need for patients to show ID during the registration process; we do apologise for this but want to ensure we have a suitably robust system in place to protect the security and confidentiality of your health record as more of your health record is accessible online over the next several years.
Please note - you can only register in person at Reception. Please remember to bring suitable ID when you attend. Thank you.
