We would like to apologise to all patients for any delays you are experiencing in contacting the practice. Following the installation of our new telephone system last week we know some patients are still having long waits when trying to get through.
We are trying everything we can to resolve the matter as quickly as possible and aim to have improvements in place as soon possible.
We continue to offer COVID vaccinations from our site at The Beacon Shopping Centre in Eastbourne for patients registered with Victoria Medical Centre.

Sadly we are aware that there have been some very negative comments on social media in recent days. We want to reassure you we are doing all we can to answer phones as quickly as possible but we have seen a huge increase in call volume in recent weeks.
It is very upsetting for the staff to see such negative comments about the practice when they are all working so hard in extremely challenging times. Please be kind to our staff.
All appointments will now be book on the day only. If your problem can be dealt with by a telephone consultation then a healthcare professional will call you back. Please do not enter the surgery unless you have a booked appointment. All of these changes are for your safety as well as the safety of our healthcare professionals and staff. Please be aware that for the foreseeable future we have been advised by NHS England to suspend online booking. Our phone lines are going to be extremely busy during this time and we thank you for your understanding and patience.
You will no longer be able to pick up your prescription from the surgery. All prescriptions will be sent electronically to a pharmacy. Please can you let the surgery know which pharmacy you would like to nominate so that we can update your record in preparation. If you do not nominate a pharmacy we will send your prescription to your nearest pharmacy and let you know where to collect it from.
